Sans An impressive Rhone inspired blend of 60% Marsanne and 40% Roussanne. The vines for these two varieties are grown in the classic Beechworth granite soil on a south facing slope, so as to reduce the heat of the summer sun. They are densely planted, pruned, shoot and fruit thinned to ensure a small crop of highly flavoured fruit. The 2015 vintage year saw a very early spring frost that reduced the crop size, but the following seasons weather was ideal, with rain and heat at all the right times, and no disease in the vineyard. Maturation takes place in older French oak barriques.
