Sans A blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc matured in French oak barriques, 18% new, for a period of 2 years. Totally opaque black dark red core with a dark red hue. Ascending from the glass with intensity are red to black currant aromatics tinged with hints of violet. Subtle cedary tobacco characters, black olive, traces of earth and spicy bay leaf notes ensue. Rich, very polished and perfectly balanced, the refined yet powerful palate is decorated with ripe red and black currant fruit which melds into complexing nuances of subtle vanillin cedar, tobacco, traces of earth, dried herbs and spice. Exceptionally fine grained yet structured tannins. Magnificent depth with a long lingering finish of ripe red and black currant, tobacco, vanillin cedar, dried herb infusions, subtle earth and spice. Already quite approachable it will cellar 10-15 plus years with ease.Alc. 14.2%
