Sans Great depth of colour displaying an impressive pitch black core with a deep bright dark red black hue. Pronounced black cherry, liquorice and blackberry scents overlay lightly smoked vanillin cedar, earth and blackpepper notes. Full bodied with ample richness and a structured back bone the palate is filled with ripe black cherry, blackberry and liquorice flavours which have a juicy feel. Underpinning the fruit is a robust tannin framework which gives the back palate a sense of sturdiness. Also chiming in are elements of dried meats, smoky vanillin cedar and pepper. Medium to long aftertaste of spicy black cherries, liquorice, subtlety earthed dried meats, lightly smoked vanillin cedar and pepper.Cellar 5-6 years.Alc. 14.5%
