From clay and loess soils over volcanic sub-layers in Tokaj. Morning mists encourage noble rot, and fully botrytised berries are hand-harvested in successive passes for concentration and balance. Hand-picked Aszú berries are macerated with base wine before gentle pressing. Fermentation proceeds slowly, followed by long ageing in oak casks, where the wine develops complexity and balance. Golden amber with aromas of apricot, honey and orange peel. Rich and lusciously sweet on the palate, balanced by vibrant acidity, with layers of dried fruit and spice leading to a long, elegant finish.
