Sans Semi translucent dark red colour with a light red hue. Showing good perfumed lift, aromatics of violets and red to dark cherries meld into toasty anise, some meatiness, forest floor and spicy cedar notes. Possessing Pinot Noir’s classic power without weight characteristic, the palate is flooded with ripe dark cherry and strawberry flavours which overlay a back drop of anise, toasty cedar, forest floor and a subtle meatiness. Supple in its mouthfeel, very refined tannins provide excellent structure. Long aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, some anise, lightly toasted cedar, forest floor and dried meats.Cellar 5-6 years.Alc. 13%
