Sans Pitch black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Intense aniseed, fennel and ripe plum aromas overlay smoky oak, a subtle meatiness and spicy pepper notes. Medium to full in body, slippery and seductive, the palate is layered with rich spicy dark plum, liquorice and fennel flavours which sit over smoky cedar, subtle dried herb and light pepper. Slightly dryish finish with a lick of bright acidity, velvety tannins and a medium to long aftertaste.Cellar 5-6 years.Alc. 14.5%
