Sans A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc aged in French oak barrels for 12-14 months. Midnight black heart with a dark red black tinged hue. Nosing offers up aromas of blackcurrant and liquorice which are intermeshed with scorched earth, dusty cedar, black olive and spice notes. Rich, ripe blackcurrant and liquorice fruits dominate the full bodied palate which is framed by a chewy tannin structure. Scorched earth, vanillin cedar and spice elements also chime in. Firm, robust yet deeply fruited conclusion.Cellar 4-5 years.Alc. 14%
