Basket pressed, wild malolactic fermentation in barrel and matured in new French oak barriques for 24 months prior to bottling without fining or filtration.Deep midnight black colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Liquorice and ripe blackberry aromas leap out of the glass trailed by some dark plum, hints of dark chocolate, smoky vanillin cedar and earthy mocha. Very rich and dense the opulently textured full bodied palate is engulfed with lavish liquorice, blackberry and dark plum fruits which sit over an earthy mocha, subtlety smoked vanillin cedar, dark chocolate and spice back drop. Velvety yet structurally sturdy tannins. Finishes exceptionally long, powerful and deeply fruited.Drink over the next 6-8 years.Alc. 14.5%
