Situated above Boudots and next to the famous Vosne 1er cru Malconsorts, this is a wine of fabulous depth and energy. Intensely mineral yet there is a stunning concentration of black fruit, brilliant ripeness and flavours that endure for an age, opening up onto more spicy notes. From a top Nuits 1er Cru you might expect a brutal structure but this could not be more approachable and subtle, yet that structure is there, simply coated in ripe dark fruit and so well judged. A real treat!
