Sans Matured for 18 months in a combination of French and Hungarian hogsheads and barriques. Dense midnight black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Engulfing the olfactory senses are intense aromas of blackcurrant and mulberry which are complimented by hints of liquorice, vanillin cedar, tobacco, earth and bay leaf. Rich yet refined and well fleshed in its feel the medium bodied palate is decorated with blackcurrant, mulberry and liquorice fruits. Vanillin cedar, subtle earthy tobacco and bay leaf characters echo off in the background. Fine grained yet structured tannins. Tightens up on the eloquent finish.Drink over the next 6-8 years.Alc. 14%
