Sans Despite owning plots in prime Grand Cru vineyards such as Bonnes-Mares and Chambertin Clos-des-Bèze, Domaine Robert Groffier still fly relatively under the radar. Guided now by Robert’s son Serge and grandson Nicolas, the team are considered one of the finest in Burgundy. The domaine consists of almost 8 ha of fine vineyards, including 1 ha of Bonnes Mares, almost 0.5 ha of Chambertin Clos-des-Bèze and a full 1 ha of Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses, the biggest single owner of this vineyard. Winemaking is flexible dependant on the season, however new oak use is minimal, and the wines are only racked once at the end of the élevage.
