Elevated liquorice, blackcurrant and black cherry aromas are intermeshed with hints of bay leaf, scorched earth and spice. Medium to full in body with a ripe fleshy texture the palate features rich blackcurrant and liquorice fruits over scorched earth, spicy cedar and dried herb characters. You have to enjoy and appreciate tannin, certainly, because there’s a wide spread of it here, but this is a quality wine in all respects, and from every angle. Cedar, dust, juicy red-and-black berries, a long, floral, complex conclusion; it’s a gorgeous flavour profile. Gum leaf notes are evident too â€?in an integrated, harmonious way.
