Sans Matured for 18 months in older French and American oak. Pitch black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of blackcurrant, plum and mulberry mix with some vanillin cedar, tobacco, earthy black olive and faint bay leaf notes. Rich blackcurrant fruit floods the medium to full bodied palate which has a ripe, chewy mouth feel. Some liquorice, mulberry, vanillin cedar, earthy tobacco and subtle bay leaf characters lie underneath. Firm tannins impart some grip onto the medium to long finish.Drink over the next 5-6 years.Alc. 14.5%
