Sans A classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz first produced in 1962, Yalumba’s Signature pays homage each vintage to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the culture and traditions of Yalumba. The 2021 vintage’s signatory is packaging & development manager Chris Gerhardy who has been with Yalumba for over 50 years. This year’s release also marks the 50th vintage of Yalumba The Signature.From vines with an average age of 49 years the 2021 Signature is a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Shiraz with maturation taking place in a combination of French barriques and Hungarian hogsheads (23% of which was new oak) for a period of 19 months.
