Sans Matured for 18 months in a combination of new and seasoned French and American oak barrels. Dense inky black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Ripe dark plum, liquorice and blackberry scents fill the nostrils followed by some fennel, vanillin cedar and pepper notes. Rich, plump and juicy, luscious dark plum and liquorice fruits are sprawled across the full bodied palate. Ensuing are smoky vanillin cedar, fennel and peppered earth characters. Velvet like tannin structure with a long opulently fruited and peppery finish.Drink over the next 4-5 years.Alc. 14.5%
