Crafted in Slovenia’s Styria (Štajerska) region, the wine hails from forests of vineyards planted on Pleistocene-layered clay, sandstone and marl. 15 days of skin contact fermentation in stainless steel. Then racked to used 225L oak barrels and aged on fine lees for 24 months. Dark berries, rosehip syrup and tobacco leaf. On entry, the palate opens with cherry, blackberry and dark chocolate, laced with spice, tobacco nuances and forest-floor freshness.
