Sans A blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Malbec with the Cabernet component coming predominately from blocks planted in 1975. Ageing took place in a combination of French oak barrels (20% new) and a 3000 litre Foudre for a period of 12 months.

Pitch black heart with a dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced red to black currant and mulberry aromas tinged with hints of violet sail through the nostrils complimented by some cigar box, earthy black olive and bay leaf accents. Rich, concentrated and layered yet possessing the varietals trademark refinement, red to black currant and mulberry fruits along with some red liquorice decorate the mid weighted palate. Spicy vanillin cedar, dusty earth, tobacco and bay leaf elements unfold across the back half. Integrated fine grained tannin structure with a dash of freshness invigorating the long, elegant finish.Drink over the next 6-8 years.Alc. 14%
