Hand-harvested from 26-year-old vines, with yields of 7 tons per hectare to ensure balanced fruit and quality. Fermented in open-top fermenters, with commercial yeast added during the second half of fermentation. Aged for approximately 18 months in second-fill French oak barrels (225L and 500L). Deep purple in colour with aromas of blackberry, dark plum, and black pepper. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with juicy dark fruit, fine tannins, bright acidity, and a touch of oak for balance and texture.
