Sans Springvale Riesling is crafted from Grosset’s six-hectare estate-owned Certified Organic and Biodynamic vineyard at Watervale in the Clare Valley. The isolated, high-altitude site, chosen and planted by Grosset in 2000, consists of of red loam over limestone, and, atypical for this sub-region, the vines are deeply rooted in slate bedrock. The close-planted vines are planted to a mix of German and locally sourced clones and are completely tended by hand.
