Sans Fruit was picked over two weeks and fermented in two batches. The early pick was fully destemmed, while the later pick fermented with 50% bunches. Maturation took place in a mix of old and new oak (about 10%) for nine months.Semi translucent dark red core with black shaded edges and a light red purple tinged hue. Alluring scents of violet, red to dark cherry, strawberry and anise sail out of the glass with a perfumed like intensity. Also chiming in are forest floor, fresh herb, clove, stalky cedar and spice notes. Light, supple and savoury across the palate, red cherry, strawberry and anise flavours are featured over a spicy cedar, fresh herb, forest floor and delicate stalk back drop. Polished tannins finishing fresh, long and elegant.Drink over the next 6-8 years.Alc. 13.4%
