Brilliant water like core with a faint greenish tinge around the outskirts. Jumping out of the glass are lime zest, lemon and green apple scents which are trailed by hints of orange rind, wet steel and flinty mineral notes. Zippy flavours of lemon, lime and Granny Smith apple are sculptured by laser like acidity that gives the palate a searingly crisp focus. Tightly coiled and possessing a steely like feel, notions of flinty minerals, chalk and wet steel line the back half. A terrific wine, too, opening with focused aromas of lemon sherbet, pink grapefruit, makrut lime and orange blossom. The palate is just as focused and pure fruited, with the wine’s 3.6g/L residual sugar perfectly balanced by its mouth-watering acidity.
