Sans From the Watervale sub region, Skilly Valley, which runs north to south on the valley floor, vines grow in sandy loam soils over broken quartz. Protected from the extremes of the summer sun by the valley sides, the grapes from these vines produce Riesling with a natural crisp acid backbone.
