White Cartagène is a liqueur wine (also known as Mistelle) composed of 80% fresh grape must and 20% winebrandy . This cuvée is a blend of white Carignan, Roussanne andMarsanne , aged in barrels for 2 years and matured for 2 years in non-topped-up barrels. This 2015 Cartagène is remarkably well-balanced, with a very pleasant freshness that balances a round, smooth palate with complex and delicious notes of caramel, fig, dried apricot and pecan. There are many possible food and wine pairings, such as foie gras, chestnut risotto, white pudding and chestnut cake, melon, dried fruit and chocolate desserts, etc.
