Andre shares his three big passions with the best chef in the area and they all point to the type of guy he is – wine, food and Marseille football. He is a small gaunt man with striking grey eyes and is entirely self-taught and believes passionately in low yields (35 hectolitres per hectare for this Villages wine) and extended fermentation. He has invested in an automatic pigeage system along Burgundian lines which ensures maximum extraction.

Made from Grenache Noir, the red Rasteau can be drunk as a dessert wine but also makes a refreshingly different aperitif when served chilled.
