Sans ‘A.van Wees distillery de Ooievaar’ was established in 1782. Until 1970, the distillerydelivered its products in casks to bars and restaurants, however, due to changing market conditions, the company finally decided to begin selling its products in stone and glass bottles. Wees remains a family business,with the distillery today run by Fenny van Wees, together with a small loyal crew, so preserving a once world-wide famous Dutch cultural inheritance. The house specialities are Old Dutch Geneva Gins and select liquors.
