Located high up in the Alps on the slopes of the Côteau du Tormery, the Quenard domaine has long been considered one of the Savoie’s finest. Dedicated to organic farming and traditional vinification methods, they benefit from a uniquely warm microclimate that allows for optimal ripening of their fruit. This Mondeuse is sourced from 40-year-old vines planted atop the steep scree slopes of the Savoie commune of Arbin. Hand-harvested and whole bunch fermented, this is a complex and fruity red bursting with notes of fresh red berries and spring flowers. Lovely now but capable of ageing for years to come, this is a perfect red for year-round enjoyment.
