Among the “unique collectionâ€?of Darroze Armagnacs, one property stands out for its exclusivity. The Domaine de La Boubée is located at the intersection of three departments. The vineyards surrounding the town have always been an important source of grapes for many merchants. At La Boubée, the tradition has always been to distil part of the production. This has enriched the Darroze collection with numerous Armagnacs made mainly from the Ugni Blancgrape variety(accompanied by Baco). The 1993 vintage allows the aromas of ripe fruit macerated in alcohol to develop and dominate. This is followed by subtle spices (liquorice, white pepper) and a complex palate with fine, delicate tannins. The aromas of ripe and candied fruit (dates, apricot) return with a lovely long finish. Please note that the name of the estate is subject to change depending on the collaborations for these vintages.
