This is a serious piece of kit, full of ripe, red berries, plums, pomegranate and sweet spices with subtle Mediterranean herbs. It’s full bodied and well balanced, with plush round tannins and along finish.

Founded back in 1974 Avignonesi is one of the leading wineries in the Montepulciano area of Tuscany, the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is their flagship wine, fermented using indigenous yeats and spending around 30 days macerating with the skins before being racked into oak barrels for a period of ageing.
