Barberad’AlbaSuperiore2023–Fontanabianca

The Barbera d’Alba cuvée is made from vines aged between 10 and 30 years. The flagship Barberagrape varietythrives here on limestone and sandy soils. The vines benefit from ideal sunshine with an easterly exposure. The grapes are selected at full maturity and then undergo a short maceration before being aged for several months in French oak barrels. Fontanabianco produces a Barbera d’Alba on the fruit, with a nice freshness maintaining a spicy and supple structure. This model cuvée of its appellation is certainly the best complexity at this price in Piedmont.
