BaroloCerequio2019–MicheleChiarlo

Michele Chiarlo owns plots of land in some of Piedmont’s most famous vineyards. The wines macerate for around twenty days on the skins. Malolactic fermentation and ageing take place mainly in casks, with a few 700-litre barrels in the mix. Ageing in wood lasts around 24 months. The 2019 Barolo Cerequio has an intense, luminous colour. The bouquet reveals the typical notes of the vintage: mint, eucalyptus and sweet spices. A complex wine in its youth. The palate is rich and well-defined, revealing a remarkable structure that balances perfectly with dense, silky tannins, denoting a truly exceptional vintage.
