For lovers of timeless Nebbiolo, Vietti 2021 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione is a legendary parcel wine. Vietti produces some of the finest Barolo from some of the best vines in the appellation, including Rocche di Castiglione, from one of the oldest vineyards in Rocche di Castiglione Falletto, planted in 1940 on steep terraces at an altitude of 330 metres facing south. This 2021 is probably one of its greatest successes, characterised by freshness, extreme precision, linearity, structure and finesse. Lovely mineral notes add to the balance and elegance. Silky, enveloping and full-bodied on the palate.
