Produced with Tempranillo from the village of Villalba de Duero, from sandy and clay soils on limestone bedrock, this is a powerful wine, but not overly ripe. It has great freshness, thanks in particular to limited ageing. It reveals flavours of juicy fruit and violet, with a slight acidity provided by redcurrant. It is ripe without excess, velvety on the palate with silky tannins. It develops notes of liquorice intertwined with small fruits and a few spices and herbs.
