Kabinett, the first classification of so-called Prädikatswein, wine with special attributes, can be dry or contain a little residual sugar. Here, the estate has chosen to present a dry wine. On the slate soils of the east-facing slopes, the Rieslings used for this wine reach optimal ripeness for this cold climate, while retaining their high acidity. The precise nose expresses zesty aromas, notably of lemon, as well as a beautiful minerality and notes of green fruit (pear, apple). The palate is lively, acidic and perfectly balanced. This exceptional Riesling can be drunk today with pleasure, but will benefit from further ageing, at least ten years!
