Kizakura sake is made from spring water called Fushimizu, sourced from the Fushimi region in the southern part of Kyoto City. This medium-hard water is one of the key elements that distinguishes Kyoto’s famous sake from others. It gives it a smooth, mellow character that is appreciated by sake connoisseurs and beginners alike. This vintage is quite powerful and mineral, with notes of green apple and pear followed by green banana and a milky side. It has a very subtle acidity. It is best enjoyed young to appreciate its freshness and delicacy.
