We estimate this to be a late 1990s/early 2000s bottling, curiously bottled (in Australia) at a lower alcohol than current bottlings at 37.5%, bloody taxman! Comes with a branded tumbler to boot.

The Black Douglas is a tribute drink to the legendary warrior, Sir James Douglas. He died in battle against overwhelming Spanish forces, swinging his claymore and clutching a silver casket containing the heart of Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland. Aged and blended in Scotland, Black Douglas has won over many a dedicated Scotch drinker, with its simple, robust, full bodied character �not to mention its price. 37.5% alc./vol.
