Using white and red grapes in the same wine may seem like madness, but this has to be one of the most famous blends: Shiraz/Viognier. Steve is very much a fan, and this is wine is his take on it. The Shiraz comes from a windswept site along the Willunga escarpment and the Viognier, in which only the skins were used, just a tad east, down the road. It’s beautiful to look at, the aromatics are lifted and spicy, while the palate is as silky and indulgent as it should be. Give this wine another year or two to see it at its best!
