Intense aromas of red fruits such as currants and blueberries, along with hints of aromatic herbs tobacco and cedarwood. On the palate, lively, smooth, yet still youthful tannins give it a flavourful and harmonious structure that promises longevity. The finish is very balanced, with a very fruity acidity.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

From one of the top-10 traditional Rioja producers (Tim Atkin MW), this family run estate had 5 generations making wine for over 100 years. The average age of the vines is 30 years old. It owns 65–75 ha of estate vineyards and wines are aged in 2,300 oak barrels (70% American, 30% French) within centuries‑old underground cellars and modern facilities.
