Fresh, Elegant and Nicely Balanced Rioja Reserva

On the nose you discover an intense, complex wine. Aromas of wild fruits of the forest (blackberries and blueberries) come to the fore, with hints of spices .On the palate it is long, elegant and nicely balanced. Its sharp acidity is perfectly integrated and it has soft tannins. A long finish full of fruit.

Bodegas Muga are one of the leading lights in Rioja. The majority of their vineyard holdings are located in Rioja Alta, a relatively high altitude location which is heavily influenced by it’s proximity to the Atlantic. This brings a freshness and vitality to the resultant wines. Established in the 1930’s Muga are one of the great success stories of Spanish wine. Their output is formidable with zero compromise on quality.
