Château Le Crock, 2018
A DELICIOUS & COMPLEX CRU BOURGEOIS EXCEPTIONNEL FROM SAINT-ESTÈPHE
The 2018 le Crock has a deep garnet-purple color and vibrant, open-knit scents of crushed blackcurrants, redcurrant jelly and minted black berries with hints of mossy tree bark and pencil lead. The medium-bodied palate delivers a good amount of crunchy black fruit with a lightly chewy texture and a refreshing finish.”-Robert Parker, April 2021
- 94 Points Wine Enthusiast, April 2021
- 17 Points Jancis Robinson, Feb 2021
Château Pichon-Longueville, Les Griffons de Pichon Baron, 2016
Deeply Dense and Superb Pauillac
Expressive and vibrant with lush cassis, tar and herbal aromas. On the palate you get blackberries, baked cherries, figs, cedar and bay leaf supported by ample tannins. Full-bodied, darkly crimson hued and a graphite-tinged finish.
- 18 months in French oak (60% new)
- Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (52%) , Merlot (48%)
- 17pts Jancis Robinson , Tim Atkin 93/100, Wine Spectator 91/100
Marquis de Terme Cuvée 1762 Vintage 2019
Round and creamy Margaux
Cuvée 1762 has a deep colour with glints of purple. Rich bouquet with floral notes and scents of blackberry, dark chocolate, bitter orange and liquorice. The palate is full-bodied, round and creamy. Dark berry flavours emerge to accompany the mocha finish.
- Blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot
- Aged 12 months in French oak barrels and concrete vats
- Average age of the vines: 35 years-old
Château Moulin Riche, 2018
Elegant, powerful and integrated Saint-Julien
Dark like black-cherry skins. More dark and cedary with all that Cabernet Sauvignon. A big wine but with finely dry tannin texture, which brings an elegance to the power. And the alcohol is surprisingly well integrated. Chewy, deep and tannic but not tough. Not particularly refreshing but then it is 2018. Not for wimps. Needs time. 16.5/20 Jancis Robinson
- 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 12% Petit Verdot
- French oak for 18 to 20 months
- Full-bodied with fine tannin texture
- Mentioned by Cathal McBride on The Sunday Business Post.
Château Grand Corbin-Despagne, 2020
Opulent and complex Saint Emilion Grand Cru
The 2018 Grand Corbin-Despagne is deep garnet-purple colored and features baked black cherries, mulberries and plum preserves with touches of rose hips, Marmite toast and fallen leaves. Full-bodied, rich and decadent in the mouth, the voluptuous fruit is well framed by firm, rounded tannins and great freshness, finishing long.
- Robert Parker 95 points.
- Merlot (75%) and Cabernet Franc (24%) Cabernet Sauvignon (1%)
Château Franc le Maine 2016
Opulent Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
The nose is expressive with layers of ripe red and black fruits such as blackberries, cherries, and plums combined with undertones of leather and tobacco. There is a subtle oak influence from the aging process. Rich and full-bodied on the palate with silky tannins. The wine is well-balanced with fresh acidity, which brightens the dark fruit flavours.
- 18 months in French oak
- Blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon
