Domaine de la Côte de Beaune, with its famous cuvée ‘La Grande Châtelaine’, grows this Chardonnay on the heights of the Montagne de Beaune, at an altitude of 300 to 370 metres. The terroir, composed ofbrownlimestone and limestone soils, gives the wine a remarkable and singular minerality. On tasting, this wine reveals delicate aromas of lemon, citrus fruit and fresh grass, enhanced by an exquisite roundness and suppleness on the palate, finishing on a subtle note of hazelnut. It goes well with poultry in white sauce, pasta and seafood risottos, as well as mature cheeses.
