Caiaffa are certified organic, they do not use insecticides or pesticides in order to encourage a balanced ecosystem. The rare grape variety Fiano Minutolo was previously confused with the variety Fiano D’Avellino from the Campania region. In 2001 DNA evidence showed that the varietal is infact related to the Muscat family.
