The history of the Groult family began in the heart of the Pays d’Auge. Five generations later, Jean-Roger Groult, at the foot of 27 hectares of apple trees, keeps the flame alive with three small wood-fired stills. With this unique ageing process, Jean-Roger Groult perpetuates a complete range where fruit and naturalness compete. Calvados Réserve Le Vénérable offers a nose of very intense tatin aromas with lovelybrowncaramel, followed by very complex notes of spicy candied fruit. The palate is dense at first with smoky notes. Then white-fleshed fruit (vine peaches or juicy pears) bring a full and fresh finish that is perfectly supported by the very noble woodiness. This cuvée has won many awards and is one of the signature Calvados Groult products!
