This terrific value 1er Cru Chablis is made by father-son winemaking duo Camille and Laurent Schaller. Having joined the new wave of producers making exceptional quality Chablis from their family vineyards – rather than sell fruit to négociants – they source this fruit from a 30-year-old, cool-climate vineyard planted atop limestone near the village of Beine. Aged for 10 months in 20% new French oak and 80% stainless steel, this white shines with bright, pure fruit on the palate and an alluring mineral structure which leads to a salty and savoury finish. A firm staff favourite all year round.
