Canio Aglianico is a single-varietal wine with great personality, reflecting the Basilicata region in which it is produced. Located betweenPugliaand Campania, this small mountainous area is characterised by its poor limestone soils and Mediterranean climate, which is very dry in summer. Grown on the volcanic slopes of Mount Vulture, this deep, intense redwine offersaromas of black fruits mixed with spicy and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is round and full-bodied, with dense aromatic concentration and tannins that are present but well integrated, balanced by a great minerality typical of its exceptional terroir. An ideal companion for intense and flavourful dishes.
