Carignan–MaisonAuzias

The Carignangrape varietyis typical of Languedoc and originates fromSpain . In the past, it was prized for its high yields, but today it has regained its prestige thanks to gentler winemaking techniques, particularly carbonic maceration, which brings out its juicy, fruity character. Carignan has the great advantage of being very resistant to heat, making it well suited to current climatic conditions. Auzias’ Carignan is made from old vines and is characterised by notes of blackcurrant and blackberry with hints of cocoa. Pair with local dishes such as daube, beef bourguignon or barbecue.
