Born with the 1987 vintage, Carillon d’Angélus has acquired its own identity over the years. Reflecting the high standards of the estate’s teams, it is made from a variable percentage ofMerlot ,Cabernet FrancandCabernet Sauvignonselected from different terroirs in Saint-Emilion. It is composed of a majority of Merlot in this vintage, and is appreciated for the purity of its fruit aromas, its velvety tannins and its elegant finish. The wine delivers warm notes of black plums, cherries, as well as spicier notes of cinnamon and dried herbs. The palate explodes with red berries, coated with soft and silky tannins. A wonderful wine with a great personality!
