Carnage–2022–DomainedeVilleneuve

Carnage 2022 from Domaine de Villeneuve is a natural and organic red wine produced in the Côtes du Rhône appellation by Stanislas Wallut, Rhône Valley.

First vintage for this cuvée, 80% Cinsault and 20% Grenache Noir from 40-year-old vines planted on sandy soils located 200 meters from the estate. The plot was purchased last Spring, and has been cultivated organically since then. Manual harvest. Natural vinification, work by gravity, just a little bit of extraction, aged in egg-shaped concrete vats for 9 months. Bottled at the estate in May 2023, without fining or filtration, just a micro-dose of sulfur.
