CausseduBousquet2022–MasChampart

The Causse du Bousquet cuvée is one of the great wines of the Saint-Chinian appellation. It comes from high-quality vineyards planted on terraces or very stony limestone plateaus at an altitude of 280-300 metres. The vines produce low yields and the grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place with natural yeasts, followed by ageing partly in vats and 70% in oak barrels. On tasting, this is a pulpy wine with chewiness and depth, developing notes of violet, white pepper and liquorice on the nose. The finish retains a very pleasant freshness that balances the warmth.
