Sylvain Jacquot is based in the small town of Cramans, just north of Arbois, where his winery is essentially a garage tucked behind his house. His backyard is filled with old machinery, cars, tractors, and more, reflecting the hands-on, passion-driven nature of his operation. This is clearly a labor of love, not a large-scale commercial venture. While Sylvain has been crafting exceptional wines in both oxidative and topped-up styles for years, it’s only in recent years that he’s begun to share his creations beyond the local area.

One such wine is a truly exceptional cuvée, aged for two years in barrel with regular topping-up, followed by an additional year to develop oxidative and flor characteristics. The result is a wine of remarkable power and concentration, with a finish that lingers long after the last sip.
