This prestigious château has executed a superb vintage. TheCanon -la-Gaffelière vineyard is located on the south coast of Saint-Emilion with an excellent aspect. The vines are over 50 years old and grow in the clay-limestone and sandy-clay soils that characterise this complex, outstanding terroir. Using his expertise, Stephan Von Neipperg has produced a wine from this terroir that has a remarkable structure, and that’s consistently elegant and stylish, with great length on the palate. This wine is aged for 16 months in barrels, of which 50% are new. The intense flavours of blackcurrant, stewed blueberry androsepetal blend with the gently spiced oak and the minerality of the terroir. Its originality delivers some remarkable impressions!
